Welcome to Berryhill Middle School

Berryhill Middle School consists of a student body that is made of 7th and 8th grade students. Our faculty consists of highly qualified educators who are dedicated to the students of our community. The teachers of BMS work tirelessly to prepare our students to be successful in their future academic endeavors and productive members of society. Berryhill Middle School offers all core classes as well as a variety of elective classes. Our advanced class program offers Pre-Algebra for 7th grade students and Algebra for 8th grade students. We also offer challenging artistic programs as well: Drama, Art, Band, Jazz Band, and Chorus.

Berryhill Middle School students can also explore their abilities through a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Our athletic programs offer competitive sports for both girls and boys at each level. Girls' sports include: softball, basketball, and track. Boys' sports include: football, basketball, wrestling, and track. Students may also become members of our award winning band and jazz band. Academic team, student government, and Serteens are also options for student involvement.


Kelly McBride - Middle School Teacher of the Year

A 1980 graduate of Bixby High School, Mrs. Kelly McBride earned degrees from Northeastern State University in 1984 and 2005.  She has taught 32 years, the most recent two at Berryhill.

Currently, Mrs. McBride teaches 7th Grade Science, 8th Grade Science, and 8th Grade Leadership.  Past positions include all Middle School subjects, Physical Education,  and coaching basketball, track, softball, and volleyball.  She has also served as Athletic Director and Dean of Students.

Mrs. McBride is married to Thomas McBride.  She has two sons, Brett, a teacher and coach in Broken Bow, and Beau, an accountant for Warwick Energy in Oklahoma City.  She also has two bonus daughters, Rianne and Ashlyn McBride, who are both college students.

Mrs. McBride attends Southern Hills Baptist Church.  She enjoys volunteering with the Special Olympics and Joy in the Cause.


Middle school band received superior ratings at District competition.
