- Promotes an optimal level of health for students, staff, and the community
- Serves as consultants for the health concerns of students, families, and staff.
- Provides health interventions, education, and referrals to address actual or potential health problems.
- Implements health care practices consistent with the National School Nurse Association and OK State Department of Health Standards of Care.
- Serves as a link between health care providers, families, staff, and community agencies to support student and family health.
- Promotes and assists in the control of communicable diseases through immunization programs, early intervention, surveillance, and follow-up of contagious diseases.

Current Immunization Record or State-Approved Exemption Information
Students are required to have a current, up-to-date immunization record or a completed and signed state-approved exemption form. Either the up-to-date immunization record or a completed and signed state-approved exemption form must be on file with the district before the student's admission to the District.

Child Nutrition and Physical Fitness Program Review
It is the intent of the board of education that parents, students, child nutrition employees, teachers of physical education, school health professionals, and the general public participate in the development, implementation, and periodic review and updating of this policy. Any recommendations must be submitted in writing to the Office of the Superintendent, 3128 S. 65th West Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107.
